Contractor Installing Service Line From Tap & Setting the Meter & Meter Pit

- Submit drawings showing the proposed location for the tap, meter pit and backflow assembly.
- Include calculations in gallons per minute (GPM) on the largest zone, the number of zones that will be operating at the same time and the total number of zones in the system for each meter service.

Service Connection Notes

- All taps to the water main are to be 5 feet minimum from any pipe joint in the water main or other taps on the water main.
- All service lines must be installed at a 90 degree angle from the water main to the meter pit and valve.
- Maintain a 3ft separation around meter pit from backflow assemblies, irrigation control boxes, or other objects.
- The meter pit shall be placed in the pubic right away or within the easement of the water main.
- Pre-approval must be obtained from WaterOne if there is possible conflict in meeting these requirements.
Note: Temporary Service Connections for Construction projects shall not be in service longer than 18 months unless otherwise approved by WaterOne.
