Stop Service

I don’t need water at my address, and I would like to stop service.

We’re sorry to see you go!

There are two ways for you to stop your water service. You can:

  1. Log in through MyAccount
  2. Or, give us a call at 913-895-1800

Before you begin:

  • You’ll need your current account details, including service address
  • The date you’d like us to stop your service
  • The address where you’d like us to send your final bill
  • If you are currently a WaterOne customer and you are moving to another property in our service area, use the Transfer Service request form

Helpful tips

  • If you rent your home or apartment, talk to your landlord to let them know you’re turning off your water service.
  • A stop service request takes service out of your name.
  • Request to stop service must be made at least one business day prior to the requested stop date.  
  • If a new customer has not called to start service, water may be turned off as early as 8 am on the date of stop service. Consider modifying your stop service request to reflect a date when water will no longer be needed.  
  • Water service cannot be disconnected to avoid a service charge.
