Additional Project Information

Construction workers installing a water mainDid you receive a letter from us about a project we are doing in your area? Below we have some additional information that can help you better understand the work we are doing. We appreciate your patience as we work to ensure great water service to your neighborhood.

What To Expect

During the construction process, WaterOne will have open excavations, equipment/vehicles and personnel in the area. Please be sure to pay extra attention to your surroundings, as we want to ensure the safety of pedestrians, WaterOne personnel, and equipment/vehicular traffic. If you have a sprinkler system, underground dog fence, heated driveway, and/or other private utilities located within the Right-of-Way where the project work is occurring, please notify the Project Manager listed on the project letter you received of these items. Having this information will help us minimize damage and expedite work. If damage appears to have occurred during construction, please contact the Project Manager to discuss repair needs prior to performing said repairs.

Brief water outages of less than 4 hours will be necessary.  To inform you of water outages, WaterOne is a member of a mass notification service called NotifyJoCo.  In order for you to be notified of outages in your neighborhood, please go to www.NotifyJoCo.org to register your contact information and location preferences.  If your location preferences are within the WaterOne service area, you will automatically be signed up to receive notification from WaterOne through NotifyJoCo, regardless of the boxes you check.  Please note that if you select notifications from municipalities or other “participants” you may receive NON-emergency information from them.  You can customize your notification preferences at any time by logging back on to www.NotifyJoCo.org. Please call 913-826-5555 for assistance with registration.  Registration by phone may require several days for a call back from NotifyJoCo. WaterOne strives to minimize disruptions, so we appreciate the opportunity to keep you informed.

Our Restoration Team asks that you allow communication regarding restoration to come from them which will provide the most up to date information on project scopes and statuses. You can contact our Restoration Team by visiting waterone.org/restoration or via email at restoration@waterone.org
