Report Emergency or Service Problem
Call 913-895-1800 to report a leak, main break or emergency service problem.
During regular business hours, our Customer Service staff will assist you. After business hours, our answering service will take your call and dispatch an on-call crew, as needed. WaterOne provides emergency response 24 hours a day.
Note
Internal plumbing and the service line are the responsibility of the homeowner. If you have a HomeServe warranty and would like to make a claim, contact HomeServe directly.
Landscaping Damage
If you have had a main break or other WaterOne activity damage landscaping beyond the public right-of-way (i.e. shrubs, plants, mulch, sod, sprinkler systems), please notify WaterOne's Restoration Coordinator at 913-895-5626 during business hours of 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
The public right-of-way is generally the area from the back of the curb to a parallel distance approximately 11 feet back. This distance may vary depending on the configuration of the right-of-way by the local jurisdiction.
WaterOne is not responsible for damage to landscaping or any items within the public right-of-way, including plants, sprinklers, fences and buried pet fences. As part of our commitment to excellence, we do work with property owners to restore the area within reason. WaterOne will water sod or seeded area for 14 business days after which it will once again become the responsibility of the property owner.
Please note: Due to the large size of our service area, WaterOne responds to hundreds of main breaks each year. Restoration will be prioritized in the same order of the main breaks. It may take 2 to 4 months to complete restoration work, weather permitting.
Water Damage
Internal plumbing, irrigation systems, and the service line are the responsibility of the customer. If you feel that WaterOne is responsible for the damage, contact WaterOne's insurance coordinator at 913-895-5520 during regular business hours or 913-895-1800 after hours.
If water enters your home or workplace, we may arrange for an initial clean-up as a courtesy. Clean-up services will be done promptly to minimize potential damage. If you retain clean-up services of your own, be advised that WaterOne will only reimburse you for reasonable and customary expenses.
Water main breaks are not an act of negligence, and therefore WaterOne is not responsible for any damage mitigation. Cleanup services are supplied as a courtesy to our customers. If you incur any losses of furnishings or belongings, promptly file a report with your homeowners insurance company.
