Temporary Boil Advisory Lifted for Leawood, Overland Park

Post Date:07/18/2019 12:30 PM

A boil advisory that was issued on July 17th, 2019 for a portion of Leawood and Overland Park has been lifted.  The safety and quality of the water supply is our top priority at WaterOne, and the boil advisory can now be lifted after all tests confirmed that no contamination occurred.

The advisory applied only to the neighborhoods east of Roe Avenue to State Line Road, and from 103rd Street to I-435. The boil advisory was issued following a main break which caused a brief loss of pressure throughout this section of the water distribution system. Affected customers were notified by a NotifyJoCo alert. WaterOne apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this unfortunate incident.

WaterOne encourages all customers to sign up for water alerts at www.NotifyJoCo.org.
