Project Description

Water Main Replacement - Woodson Transmission MainAs our infrastructure continues to age, we proactively replace water mains to ensure safe, reliable, high-quality water service to our community. WaterOne will be replacing 5,500 linear feet of its 30" Woodson Transmission Main in the neighborhoods of 52nd and 51st Streets, and from Lamar to Foxridge Drive.

The Woodson Transmission Main was originally built in 1957, and condition assessments have indicated that this section of the pipeline is nearing the end of its useful life. This is an important pipeline, as it conveys water from WaterOne's treatment plant to the pump station that supplies water to the City of Mission and surrounding neighborhoods.

The work will be completed in two phases to reduce disruption to local schools, residences, and WaterOne's distribution system. WaterOne will make every effort to maintain access and minimize disruption for residents. Please watch for detours, equipment, and crews in the area. We appreciate your patience as we complete this necessary upgrade to your water infrastructure.
