Project Description

Water Main Replacement - Lee Boulevard, 83rd Street to Somerset DriveAs our infrastructure continues to age, we proactively replace water mains to ensure safe, reliable, high-quality water service to our community with superior service. We are upgrading infrastructure along Boulevard, from 83rd Street to Somerset Drive. This project is coordinated with the City of Leawood's Street Improvement Project, in order to avoid unnecessary excavation and maximize ratepayer dollars. WaterOne's contractor Kissick Construction is scheduled to start work on the water main in late May, and the waterline work is expected to be completed by August 2022. Road work will follow the waterline construction. Restoration will be completed as part of the City Street Project. For more information on the City project, please visit Engineering for City of Leawood.

Lee Boulevard will be closed to through traffic throughout construction, though access will be maintained to residents within the project area. Traffic should use Mission Road or State Line Road as alternate routes. Please watch for detours, equipment, and crews in the area. We appreciate your patience as we complete this necessary upgrade to your water infrastructure.
