Peak Management Rates

Peak Management Rate Plans are designed to more fairly distribute the costs of providing high-quality water service to the residents and businesses of WaterOne.

During a normal summer, water use can more than double due to outdoor watering. Under Peak Management Rates, those who use water at a pace that creates the greatest demands, or peaks on the system, pay a higher rate on that usage to help defray the future costs of expansion.

Peak Management Rates have been in effect at WaterOne since 1994. There are two rate levels or "Blocks" by which customers are billed. The amount of water billed under each block depends on each customer’s actual winter usage.
