Fleet Mechanic
We have a great opportunity for an
experienced Fleet Mechanic to join the WaterOne team. The
Fleet Mechanic will assist with maintenance and repair of WaterOne’s
fleet of vehicles, construction equipment, and other fleet components.
The Fleet Mechanic will help minimize down time and help ensure
that vehicles and equipment are safe to operate.
Job Duties:

Help perform preventive maintenance of
the components of the WaterOne fleet.

Perform or assist with repair work
associated with the components of the fleet.

Assist with analysis and diagnosis of
fleet-related problems.

Keep current on new technology,
equipment, best practices, and other industry trends as they apply
to maintenance and repair of the fleet.

Help ensure that all work is performed
safely and in accordance with established procedures and performance
expectations.

Keep up to date with new technology,
equipment, best practices, and other industry trends, and help
ensure that the departmental staff maintains the necessary skills
and expertise.
Job Qualifications:
-
Associate’s degree or graduation from
a vocational-technical trade school in automotive repair preferred.

Minimum of two years of experience as
an automotive mechanic, and at least one year as a heavy equipment
and diesel mechanic, including large trucks and construction
equipment. Note: An equivalent combination of education and
experience may be considered toward meeting the first two
qualifications.

Proven ability with various types of
diagnostic equipment.

Specialized knowledge of computer
systems, electronics and electrical systems, hydraulics, emission
control equipment, and brake systems.

Proficiency in diagnosing and
repairing computer controlled engines and transmissions; brake,
ignition, fuel, and hydraulic systems; and other components of both
gasoline and diesel engines.

Knowledge of principles, practices,
and procedures pertaining to automotive, diesel, and heavy equipment
repair and maintenance.

Familiarity with and ability to follow
all applicable safety regulations, rules, and procedures.

Ability to communicate well in English
both orally and in writing and be a good listener.

Basic PC skills.

Possession of a valid Class A
commercial driver’s license (CDL) or the ability to obtain one
within 90 days of hire. Must have a good driving record and
continuously meet WaterOne driving standards.

Must pass a post-offer medical exam,
including background investigation and a drug screen.
