What is CodeRED?

CodeRED is an emergency notification system that provides WaterOne the ability to quickly deliver an automated message to targeted areas or our entire service area by phone, email or text in the event of a water related emergency.

What am I signing up for if I fill out the CodeRED form on your site?

CodeRED gives individuals and businesses the ability to add their contact information into the database so that if a water related emergency occurs, WaterOne can contact customers by phone, email or text.

 

You have the option to add an email address, number for text message, or additional phone numbers not in the database. Filling out the form adds your information directly into the CodeRED database. Emergency notifications will display on caller ID as 1-866-419-5000 or Emergency Comm.

Will my personal information be sold or used for marketing purposes?

No. WaterOne will use your information for water related emergencies only. 

The registration form only allows me to enter two telephone numbers. What if I want to register additional numbers for my address?

After you submit the initial registration form, you may start the registration process again and submit more numbers for the same address.

What is considered a water-related emergency?

A water-related emergency could be anything from a localized main break causing water outage throughout an entire subdivision, to a district-wide boil order.

Can you verify if I am already in the database?

Phone numbers in the database are owned by CodeRED and WaterOne does not have access to the information. However, if you want to ensure you are in the database, simply submit your information on our Website. You will not receive multiple phone calls on the same phone number as CodeRED will remove duplicate phone numbers prior to making calls.

Why is my address needed?

Because some notifications will be delivered to targeted geographic areas in the future, such as during a neighborhood main break, addresses are necessary.   

I went back to your Website to enroll another phone number and received a message that I have a managed account. I did not set up an account.

In the system there is an account associated with your phone number. You may have inadvertently set it up without knowing. To obtain your login information, call CodeRED at 1-866-419-5000.

Why do I need to specify that the phone number I am entering is a mobile phone?

If you want to receive a text message on your mobile phone, you must check this box. If you prefer a phone call only, there is no need to check the box.
