Chlorine

For years, Chlorine has guarded public health by disinfecting water and controlling waterborne bacterial  or viral diseases such as typhoid and cholera. WaterOne treatment methods meet all EPA standards.

We test and monitor Chlorine applications carefully, around the clock, to ensure adequate amounts are being used that do not violate state and federal standards.

Chlorine Dioxide

WaterOne uses Chlorine Dioxide, a powerful oxidant which is applied in the water treatment process primarily for trihalomethane (THM) control. By using Chlorine Dioxide in the primary treatment process, water is safely disinfected while minimizing THM concentration in drinking water.

Monochloramine

We use monochloramine as the final disinfectant to ensure that water is properly disinfected and trihalomethanes are not produced. Monochloramine has long residual effect and reduces trihalomethane formation potential in our distribution system. The results? Safe, clean tap water!
