Bonner Springs; Kansas City, KS/Wyandotte County Project MP-05321 60 Transmission Main, Water Treatment Plant to Parallel Parkway. BRB Contractors, Inc., continues to install pipe. Approximately 4,,750 linear feet of a total of 27,950 linear feet of pipe have been installed. The project is approximately 20% complete. The contract substantial completion date is April 15, 2009. Construction has begun on the emergency interconnect with BPU and the surge facility structures. Pipe installation is expected to begin in February. Construction is approximately 8% complete. The contract substantial completion date is February 16, 2009. Construction is approximately 12% complete. The contract substantial completion date is July 15, 2009. Design continues to progress and geotechnical investigations are expected to begin in February. This project is being constructed in conjunction with the City of Overland Parks street improvement project along Nall from 143rd Street to 159th Street. Miles Excavation continues to work on the tunnel at 151st Street & Nall. Once the tunnel is complete, the 20 main will be installed. Construction is approximately 90% complete. Work on the horizontal portion of the tunnel is anticipated to begin in February. Construction is approximately 34% complete. The contract substantial completion date is December 15, 2008. WaterOne has started the easement acquisition process. It is anticipated that the project will be advertised for bids later this spring.
