WaterOne Governing Board Elects New Chairman and Vice Chairman; Four Members Administered Oath of Office

The WaterOne Governing Board elected Jim Vader, Board Chairman, and Terry Frederick Vice-Chairman at a special Board Meeting on May 2, 2003. The Chairman and Vice-Chairman positions serve two-year terms.  Vader has served as the Board’s Vice Chairman since 2001. He was first elected to the Board in 1991, and was re-elected in 1997 and 2001.  He has served previouslyas Chairman of the Operations and Administration Committees.

Frederick was first elected to the Board in 1991. He was reappointed to the Board in 2000 and was re-elected in 2003. He served previously as Chairman of the Administration and Public Affairs Committees, and has been Chairman of the Finance Committee since 2001.

Four Board members were administered the oath of office at the May 2 meeting including incumbents Dick Noon, Terry Frederick and Rob Olson. Incoming Board member, Joe Vaughan, who was elected in the April 2003 general election, was also sworn into office. Board members are elected at large to four-year terms.

Board members also serve on several standing committees including Administrative, Finance, Operations and Legislative committees. The following committee chairs have been appointed to serve from 2003-2005: Administrative, Bob Reese; Finance, Terry Frederick; Operations, Dick Weisser; Legislative, Robert Olson.
