November 18, 2003 A 30” transmission water main break occurred at approximately 9:40 PM, Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at 101St and Quivira, Overland Park. Although the break caused temporary low pressures throughout a widespread area, WaterOne was able to restore pressure within an hour, by approximately 10:45 PM. The water was valved down at the location of the break, and WaterOne crews will fully assess damage to the main and necessary repairs later today. Customers are free to use water without any restrictions. |
