Public Hearing Scheduled for 2004 Proposed Budget
No Rate Increase Required

The Board of WaterOne will hear comments from the public about the utility's 2004 proposed budget at the beginning of the regularly scheduled monthly board meeting on Tuesday, November 11, 2003.  The public hearing portion of the meeting will be held at the start of the meeting, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

No rate increase is required to support the 2004 proposed budget.  This will be the sixth year out of the last seven years that no rate increase has been required of the utility's ratepayers.  The utility's combined operating and capital proposed budget for 2004 is $62 million, which represents a 0.9% increase over the $61.5 million 2003 Budget.

The Board reviewed the 2004 proposed budget in detailed work sessions held on October 7th and 21st, 2003.  Final action on the budget is scheduled to be taken at the December 9, 2003 Board Meeting.
