WaterOne Employees Open Their Hearts to Help Others

WaterOne employees opened their hearts and wallets to share some holiday spirit and cheer with their community during the 2003 United Way campaign.  Employee donations totaled $22,500, an approximate increase of 20% over last year’s contributions.

The giving didn’t end there.  WaterOne also sponsored two charities and held several fundraising activities to raise money and needed Christmas gifts for the Johnson County Christmas Bureau and Cross Lines of Wyandotte County.  These events raised in excess of $2500.  Additionally, WaterOne employees and families donated two large truckloads of food and gift items.  The funds raised went directly toward the purchase of holiday turkeys and other holiday dinner items.  These two charities were selected because of the assistance they provide to families in both Johnson and Wyandotte Counties, where WaterOne has facilities.
