CUSTOMERS ADVISED TO BE AWARE OF SCAM  

There have been several incidences reported across the Metro area where an individual has posed as a utility worker by phone in an attempt to get access to a home and/or to get money from customers. 

Customers are advised that WaterOne employees can be identified in several ways:

1.  WaterOne employees do not collect any money at the door of customers'    homes.

2.   Field employees wear uniforms marked with the WaterOne logo

3.   All employees carry a WaterOne photo I.D. at all times

4.  Vehicles that employees drive are clearly marked with the WaterOne name and logo.

Customers are advised they should ask to see an individual’s  WaterOne I.D. if they want to verify that person is an employee of the utility, or call (913) 895-5500 for verification.
