January 3, 2007 Boil Water Advisory Cancelled A boil water advisory issued for the City of Lake Quivira has been cancelled. Residents there no longer need to boil their water before consuming. The boil advisory was issued the evening of January 1, 2007 as a result of firefighting efforts to extinguish a residential fire that caused severely low pressures throughout the Lake Quivira water system for an extended period of time. Subsequent testing of the water has shown bacteria did not enter the distribution system as a result of the pressure drop and it is safe for drinking.
