For Immediate Release September 14, 2007WaterOne Receives GFOA Award WaterOne was proud to receive the GFOA Award for their 2007 Budget. The President of the Kansas GFOA, Maureen Rogers, presented the award to WaterOne’s Board Chairman, Terry Frederick at the September Board meeting. The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) established the Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program to encourage and assist state and local governments to prepare budget documents of the very highest quality that reflect both the guidelines established by the National Advisory Council on State and Local Budgeting and the GFOA’s recommended practices on budgeting and then to recognize individual governments that succeed in achieving that goal. In order to receive this award a governmental unit must publish a budget that meets program criteria as a policy document, as an operation guide, as a financial plan, and as a communications device. |
