M WaterOne employees logged over 1.5 million miles in 2002 without any accident claims. The Construction, Maintenance & Valving Department, the largest department at the utility employing 102 employees, drove a total of 997,150 accident free miles in 2002. In addition to the Construction, Maintenance & Valving Department, eight other departments whose individual miles exceeded 25,000 in 2002 also achieved a perfect driving record. This outstanding record reflects positively on the utility’s insurance loss experience, and is considered very favorably by insurance companies on renewals. More importantly, however, is the fact that no WaterOne employees sustained injuries due to vehicular accidents in 2002.
