Application For Residential Service Connection Permits
The New Service Connection Charge covers the cost of materials and labor for the tap at the water main, and the materials for the meter and meter pit. The costs vary depending on the size and type of water main being tapped and the size of the meter and water service. It is the builder’s/property owner’s responsibility to have a qualified plumber install the piping from the tap to the meter pit, the meter and meter pit (including excavations and proper backfilling of the excavation). Cancellation or Refund At the option of WaterOne, the new service charges may be canceled and refunded, or subject to change, if delivery of materials and new service installation have not been requested by the applicant within 120 days from the date the permit was issued. If the New Service Permit has been canceled for any reason, upon later reapplication for a new service, the applicant shall pay the appropriate new service charges according to the applicable schedule of new service charges then in effect.
