The following actions were taken at the Board Meeting on September 8, 2009.

Sale of Bonds

The Board accepted the proposal of Hutchinson, Shockey, Erley & Co. at an effective interest rate of 2.2643484%.  (True Interest Cost method).  The Board also adopted the Resolution of Water District No. 1 of Johnson County, Kansas to authorize issuance of $26,190,000.00 of Water Revenue Refunding Bonds, Series 2009, dated September 1, 2009.

Acquisition of Pipeline
The Board adopted a resolution authorizing acquisition of necessary easements by eminent domain for Project MP-08003, 12-inch distribution main along 91^st Street from Cedar Niles Road to Clare Road.

Amendment
The Board approved a an amendment to the Burns & McDonnell Agreement for Engineering Services to perform Design and Bid Phase Services for Project MP-09017 Woodson Pump Station Refurbishment. The estimated cost to perform these additional services is $220,080.00 and the total combined billing limit would be increased by this amount.

Settlement Agreement
The Board approved a Settlement Agreement with SMC Real Estate, LLC.
