Revisions to Rules & Regulations
The Board adopted the recommended changes to Rule II of WaterOne’s Rules & Regulations, to include a change in the method of calculating the Default AWC for all retail customer classes.

2010 Budget and related Water Rates
The Board adopted the 2010 Budget which includes a 4.9% overall water rate increase for water used on or after January 1, 2010.

Revision to Board Policy No. 16
The Board approved revisions to Board Policy No. 16, which addresses minimum budgeting requirements for debt service coverage.

Three-year Agreement with Deloitte & Touche LLP
The Board approved a three-year agreement with Deloitte & Touche LLP to provide actuarial services for the District, effective January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2012.

Investment Policies and Objectives
The Board approved revisions to the Master Statement of Investment Policies and Objectives, which serves as a guideline for investments of the Defined Benefit Plan funds.

4th Revised Retirement Plan
The Board approved and authorized the Board Chair to sign Amendment No. 3 to the 4th Revised Retirement Plan.  This Amendment deals with IRS Code Section 415 related to annual benefit limits. Amendment No. 3 does not change plan design or otherwise impact benefits.

5th Revised Retirement Plan
The Board approved and authorized the Board Chair to sign the 5^th Revised Retirement Plan that incorporates a number of technical changes required by federal law.  These revisions do not change the plan design or otherwise impact the defined benefit plan in any substantive way.

Interlocal Agreement with City of Leawood
The Board authorized the Board Chairman to execute an Interlocal Agreement between WaterOne and the City of Leawood, Kansas.  The Board further authorized the Board Chairman to approve minor modifications to the agreement that may be requested by the City of Leawood, provided such modifications would not cause substantive changes to the Agreement, with approval of the final form by WaterOne counsel.

Project MP-06007
The Board approved a change order to Project MP-06007 – Facility 3 (Phase V-A) Water Treatment Plant for an increase in the Contract Amount of $463,086.00 with Grimm Construction Company, Inc.

Project OC-09007
The Board authorized the purchase of a DBS Gearbox for Project OC-09007, Replacement of Primary Basin No. 7 Gearbox, from JCI Industries, Inc., the lowest, qualified, responsible and responsive proposer in the amount of $123,500.
