The following action
was taken at the Board Meeting on April 14, 2009.
Project MP-08003
The Board approved the creation of a Benefit Area for Project MP-08003,
a 12-inch distribution main along 91st Street from Cedar
Niles Road to Clare Road.
System Development Funds
The Board approved staff to reserve $1,400,000 from the System
Development Fund to the Master Plan Phase V Reserves.
Approve Funds
The Board approved that staff unreserved funds from Master Plan Reserve
and transfer them to the Water System General Fund and increase the
Negative Cash Flow Reserve.
2007 Construction Fund Closed
The Board adopted a resolution to close the “2007 Construction Fund”
at Commerce Bank.
Amendment for Project MP-06003
The Board approved an amendment to the Burns & McDonnell Agreement for
Engineering Services to perform additional design and bid phase services
for Project MP-06003, SE Crouthers Receiving Reservoir and Pump Station,
147th Street and Nall Avenue. The estimated cost to perform
these additional services is $278,186.
Change Order
The Board approved a change order to Project MP-06007, Facility 3
(Phase V-A) Water Treatment Plant for an increase in the contract amount
of $36,290.79 with Grimm Construction Company, Inc.
Revision of Rule II
The Board approved a revision to Rule II, “Definitions” of
WaterOne’s Rules & Regulations to remove reference to specific hours in
the definition of “Business Hours.”
Litigation
The Board approved a settlement from Affiliated FM for $150,000 for
the roof damage at the Treatment Plant.
The Board approved a settlement from Trinity
Excavating et al for $325,000 for the damage to the 60” main as well as
relocation of the main during construction of the Value Place Hotel.
