The following
action was taken at the Board Meeting on August 12, 2008.
Burns & McDonnell
Agreement
The Board approved an
Amendment to the Burns & McDonnell Agreement for Engineering Services to
perform additional design Phase Services for Projects MP-05252,
MP-06008, and TD-07036. The estimated cost to perform these services is
$65,057.00.
Change Order
The Board approved Change Order No. 3 for Projects MP-05322 and
MP-05323, which decreases the contract amount by $23,993.08.
Donoho Appraisals,
Inc.
The Board approved a three year contract extension for right-of-way
acquisition services with a not-to-exceed fee of $725 per tract for
appraisal services, $625 per tract for acquisitions services, $1,350 per
tract for both appraisal and acquisition services and an hourly rate of
$225.00 with Donoho Appraisals, Inc. The estimated contract extension
amount based on an estimated number of 237 tracts is $319,950.
Award of Contracts
The Board awarded the contract Job Nos, AC-08025 – Replace Facility 2,
Phase 1 High Service Discharge Meter & Valves, AC-08025 – Concrete
Repair Work Facility 1, AC-08028 – Kansas Presedimentation Transformer
Protection Wall, AC-08030 – Monticello Tank Overflow Modifications, and
AC-08044 – Modify Walker Basins to MEGA Industries Corporation, the
lowest, qualified, responsible and responsive bidder, in the amount of
$586,000.
Ridgway Pump
Station
The Board awarded a contract for Job No. AC-08040, Ridgway Pump Station
General Improvements, to Amino Brothers Company, Inc., the lowest,
qualified, responsible and responsive bidder, in the amount of
$36,160.00.
Emergency Water
Sales Agreement
The Board authorized a Reciprocal Emergency Water Sales Agreement
between the Board of Public Utilities of Kansas City, Kansas and
WaterOne.
