Project MP-06008
The Board adopted a resolution authorizing access to private property and acquisition of necessary easements by negotiations for Project MP-06008 – 24” transmission main along 71^st Street Clare Road to Hedge Lane Terrace.

Project MP-05252
The Board adopted a resolution authorizing access to private property and acquisition of necessary easements by negotiations for Project MP-05252– 36” transmission main along 175^th Street from Ridgeview Road to Lackman Road.

New Service Connection Installation Adjustment Contract
The Board awarded the 2007/2008 New Service Connection Installation Adjustment contract to the lowest, qualified, responsible and responsive bidder, Westland Construction, Inc., in the amount of $111,570, based on estimated quantities.

Kansas River Tunnel
The Board awarded the contract for Project MP-05324, the Kansas River Tunnel to the lowest, qualified, responsible and responsive bidder, Southland Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $6,719,727.

Amendment to B&V Engineering Agreement
The Board approved an amendment to the Black & Veatch Four Year Capital Improvements Program and General Engineering Services Agreement for Project MP-05324, Kansas River Tunnel, to perform Construction Phase and Residential Phase services for an estimated cost of $235,000 and $445,000 respectively, for a total amount of $680,000.

Water Treatment Plant Project
The Board awarded the contract for MP-06007, Facility 3 (Phase V-A) Water Treatment Plant, to Grimm Construction Company, Inc., the lowest, qualified, responsible and responsive bidder for its Base Bid, and that award is the Base Bid and Deductive Alternative B, in the amount of $72,593,000.

Amendment to B&V Engineering Agreement
The Board approved an amendment for MP-06007, Facility 3 (Phase V-A) Water Treatment Plant, for Supplemental Design Phase, Construction Phase, and Resident Phase Services for an estimated cost of $4,181,000 and the total combined billing limit would be increased by this total amount.

Construction Materials Testing Services
The Board authorized the General Manager to approve the Purchase Requisition for Construction Materials Testing Services for Project MP-06007, Facility 3 (Phase V-A) Water Treatment Plant to Professional Service Industries, Inc., the lowest, qualified, responsible and responsive proposer, in the amount of $97,095.

Contract for Project MP-07010
The Board waived the public bidding requirements of K.S.A. 19-3516(d) and awarded the contract for Project MP-07010 Facility 3 (Phase V-A) Collector Well No. 1 Caisson, based on recommendations by Staff and Black & Veatch to Collector Wells International, Inc. (a Layne-Christensen Company) for the negotiated amount of $3,458,850.

Amendment to B&V Engineering Agreement
The Board approved an amendment for Project MP-07010 Facility 3 (Phase V-A) Collector Well No. 1 Caisson for Construction Phase, and Resident Phase Services for an estimated cost of $238,000.

Change Order
The Board approved a change order for Project MP-05325, Missouri River Facilities and Facility 2 AFD Replacement and Harmonic Mitigation for an increase in the contract amount of $28,571.62 with Huxable & Associates.

Ammonia Systems Improvement
The Board awarded the contract for Job AC-06132, Ammonia System Improvements, to Foley Company, the lowest, qualified, responsible and responsive bidder, in the amount of $264,655.
