The following action was taken at the Board Meeting on November 13, 2007

Benefit Area Approved
The Board authorized the creation of Benefit Areas for Project MP-04003, a 12-inch distribution main along 175^th Street from Mission Road to Kenneth Road; and for Project MP-07015, 12-inch distribution main along Kenneth Road from 175^th Street to 171^st Street.  These projects will improve the reliability of water supply to the southeast portion of the Crouthers Pressure Zone.

Water Tower Antenna Leases
The Board approved an amendment to Water Tower Antennae Lease with Nextel West Corporation for the Santa Fe and the Delmar elevated water tanks.

The Board tabled approval of an amendment to the T-Mobile Antenna Lease on the Delmar elevated water tank.

System Development Fund
The Board directed staff to reserve $1,700,000 from the System Development Fund to the Master Plan Phase V Reserves.

Agreement with City of Shawnee
The Board authorized the Board Chairman to execute an agreement between WaterOne and the City of Shawnee.  The Board further authorizes the Chairman to approve minor modifications to the Agreement that may be requested by the City, provided such modifications would not cause substantive changes to the Agreement, with approval of the final form by WaterOne’s General Counsel.

HTNB Corporation Agreement
The Board approved an amendment to the JNTB Corporation Agreement for Professional Services to perform Design Engineering and Construction Phase Services for RA-06016, Monticello Road Improvement Project, Midland Drive to 75^th Street, and MP-05017, PRV – Monticello Road & Shawnee Mission Parkway.  The estimated cost to perform these services is $108,785 and $7,612 respectively, and the total combined billing limit would be increased by $116, 397.

Acquisition of Easements
The Board adopted a resolution authorizing acquisition of easement by Eminent Domain on private property owned by Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway near 43^rd Street and K-7 Highway for Project MP-04004, a 12-inch distribution main along K-7 Highway from 47^th Street to 43rd Street.

The Board adopted a resolution authorizing access to private property and acquisition of the necessary easements by negotiations for Project MP-07009 – a 20” transmission main along 71^st Street from Clare Road to Mize Road.

125D Flexible Benefit Plan
The Board increased the maximum allowable limit for healthcare reimbursement in the Section 125D Flexible Benefit Plan to $5,000 per participant per plan year, effective January 1, 2008.

Employee Handbook
The Board approved revision of Section 2.11 Education, Training and Development in the Employee Handbook regarding the Educational Assistance Program.

Facility 3 Water Treatment Plant, Security System
The Board waived public bidding and approved the Purchase Requisition for Project MP-06007 Facility 3 Water Treatment Plant, Security System to C&C Group for the negotiated price of $375,705.00.
