Conversion to Automated Meter Reading (AMR)
The Board authorized the conversion of selected residential meters to
Automated Meter Reading (AMR) in an amount not to exceed $255,080; and
authorized the release of $366,298 back to Master Plan Reserves.
Approval of General Fund
The Board approved designation of a portion of funds from the Special
General Fund Reserve for the purchase of software for SAP enhancements.
Water Tower Antennae
The Board approved a Water Tower Antennae Lease with T-Mobile for the
Wells Elevated Water Tank.
Easement Acquisition Services
The Board authorized an agreement with the following firms:
- Donoho Appraisals for the Johnson County
section of the project, MP-051234 in accordance with the proposal
dated August 14, 2006. These services are for approximately 48
tracts with a not-to-exceed fee of $1,200.00 per tract or $68,850.00
- Appraisal Dynamics for the North section of
the Wyandotte County portion of the project, MP-051234 in accordance
with the proposal dated August 15, 2006. These services are for
approximately 12 tracts with a not-to-exceed fee of $1,015.00 per
tract or 12,180.00.
- Right-Of-Way Associates for the South section
of the Wyandotte County section of project, MP-051234 in accordance
with the proposal dated August 15 2006. These services are for
approximately 20 tracts with a not-to-exceed fee of $1,050.00 per
tract or $21,000.00.
HNTB Engineering Services Agreement
The Board approved an amendment to the HNTB
Engineering Services Agreement for Design and Construction Phase
Services for Project MP-09003, Relocation of the Distribution Main,
RA-05013, on Nall from 143rd Street to 159th
Street. The total combined billing limit would be increased by $66,069.
Award of Contract
The Board authorized the GM to negotiate and execute the Contract for
design and contract administration services for MP-05305, Lab Space
Hansen Treatment Plant, with Olsson Associates, the most qualified firm
responding to the Request for Proposal, in an amount not to exceed
$346,460.
Amendment to Proposal
The Board approved an amendment to the Black & Veatch Four Year
Capital Improvements Program and Engineering Services Agreement for
Resident Phase Services associated with Project MP-05001, Kansas River
Jetty Improvements. The estimated cost to perform these services is
$362,500.
Amendment to Proposal
The Board approved an amendment to the Black & Veatch Four Year
Capital Improvements Program and General Engineering Services Agreement
for Preliminary Design Services and Pre-Blasting associated with Project
MP-06003, Nall Avenue Reservoir and Pumping Station. The estimated cost
to perform these services is $206,800.
Diversion Works Easement from State of Kansas
The Board authorized the GM to execute an easement with the State of
Kansas for a diversion works on the Kansas River.
