Approval of Amendment
The Board approved an amendment to the Black & Veatch Four Year Capital Improvements Program and General Engineering Services Agreement to perform Design Assistance Services and Resident Services for Project TD-05014, replacement of 3,100 linear feet of 36-inch transmission main along 51^st Street between Quivira Drive (Pflumm Road) to Black Swan Drive.  The estimated costs to perform these services are $21,000 and $67,000 respectively, and the total combined billing limit would be increased by $88,000.

Change Orders for Projects 298 and 299The Board approved a change order to the construction contract for the following projects:

Project 298 – 36” transmission main, 135^th Street & Metcalf Avenue to 137^th Street & Nall;

Project 299 – 30” transmission main, Nall Avenue from 137^th Street to 151^st Street; in the amount of $54,818.31 with Garney Companies, Inc., which would add a total of 7 calendar days to the contract schedule.

Condition of Exigency
The Board adopted a resolution finding that the conditions related to the breach of a 30-inch main along Foxridge Drive near Turkey Creek is a public exigency and declaring the situation to be an emergency appropriate for dispensing the statutory bidding requirements and further, that a contract be negotiated with Garney Construction Company, Inc. for the required repairs.

Award of Contract
The Board awarded the contract for the Kansas River Jetty Improvements, to Kissick Construction Company, the lowest, qualified, responsible and responsive bidder, in the amount $12,533,300.00.

Approval of Amendment
The Board approved an amendment to the Black & Veatch Four Year Capital Improvements Program and General Engineering Services Agreement to perform Construction Phase Services associated with the Kansas River Jetty Improvements Project.  The estimated cost to perform these services is $295,900 and the total combined billing limit would be increased by this amount.
