Hearing
A public hearing was held to discuss the proposed 2007 budget and
5.1% rate increase to support the Budget. Final approval of the
budget ands rate increase is scheduled for the December 12 Board
Meeting.
The following
action was taken at the Board Meeting on November 14, 2006.
Resolution
The Board adopted a resolution authorizing the closing of the
Commerce Tax Withholding Account and implementation of Full Debit
Block.
Agreement with City of Overland Park
The Board approved an agreement with the City of Overland Park for
incorporation of the installation and relocation of WaterOne’s
facilities in the construction contract for the City’s street
project on Nall Avenue, between 143rd Street and 159th
Street.
Public
Exigency
The Board adopted a resolution declaring a Public Exigency for
immediate repairs to a 30-inch transmission main along 47th
Street west of Antioch.
Contract
Award
The Board awarded the contract for Project OC-06017, a 30-inch
transmission main relocation at Woodson Supply Line, I-35 and
Foxridge Drive to the lowest qualified, responsible and responsive
bidder, Beemer Construction, in the amount of $258,817.00.
Amendment to
Black & Veatch Engineering Services Agreement
The Board approved an amendment to the Black & Veatch Four-Year
Capital Improvements and General Engineering Services Agreement for
construction phase and resident phase services during construction
for Project OC-06017, a 30-inch transmission main relocation at
Woodson Supply Line, I-35 and Foxridge Drive. The estimated costs
to perform these services are $31,000 and $33,000, respectively.
Engineering
Services Agreement
The Board authorized the General Manager to negotiate and execute an
Engineering Services agreement with Burns & McDonnell for various
projects and general work on the following projects:
- 36”
transmission main along 175th Street from Ridgeview
to Lackman
- 24”
transmission main along west 71st Street from Clare
Road to Hedge Lane Terrace
- 6”
replacement main along Delmar Road from Somerset to 83rd
Street
- 6”
replacement main along Mission Road from 61st Street
to Shawnee Mission Parkway
- Final
design of the 147th and Nall Pump Station and
Reservoir
The Board
further authorized a total combined billing limit of $940,950 to
perform design services for these Capital Improvements Projects.
Amendment to
Black & Veatch Engineering Services Agreement
The Board approved an amendment to the Black & Veatch Four-Year
Capital Improvements and General Engineering Services Agreement for
design phase services for Project MP-05007, 211th Street
Pumping Station and Reservoir Expansion. The estimated cost to
perform these services is $208,000.
Amendment to
Black & Veatch Engineering Services Agreement
The Board approved an amendment to the Black & Veatch Four-Year
Capital Improvements and General Engineering Services Agreement for
resident engineering services for Project MP-05325 Missouri River
Facilities and Facility 2 Adjustable Frequency Drive and Harmonic
Mitigation. The estimated cost to perform these services is
$131,400.
Property
Acquisition
The Board adopted a resolution authorizing access to private
property and acquisition of property by negotiation for an access
road from Highway 5 to the Phase V well field and a pipeline route
from the well field to the treatment plant site on Sam Clark Lane.
