The following action was taken at the Board Meeting on April 12, 2005.

Agreement with City of Olathe
The Board approved a temporary Reciprocal Emergency Water Sales Agreement with the City of Olathe through 4/30/06.

Employee Handbook Changes
The Board approved revisions to several sections of the Employee Handbook dealing with the Alcohol and Drug Policy and the Commercial CDL Testing for Drugs and Alcohol section of the handbook.  The Board also made a change to the Safety Issues/Safety Shoes & Glasses section.

Board Policy Revisions
The Board approved revisions to the Fleet Replacement Standards in its Board Policy Manual.

Project 298 and Project 299
The Board awarded a contract for Project 298 – 36” Transmission Main from 135th Street & Metcalf to 137th Street & Nall and Project 299, 30” Transmission Main from 137th Street from 137th Street & Nall to 151st & Nall to the lowest qualified, responsible and responsive bidder.

Amendments to Projects 298 and Project 299
The Board approved an amendment to the Black & Veatch Four-Year Capital Improvements & General Engineering Services Agreement for Construction Phase and Resident Engineering Phase Services for Projects 298 & 299.
