The following
actions were taken at the Board Meeting on October 11, 2005.
Creation of Benefit Area
The Board approved a resolution authorizing the creation of a Benefit
Area along 87th, 88th, 89th Streets and
Hillside Drive west of Cedar Niles Road in Lenexa and DeSoto, Kansas.
This project will improve the reliability of water supply in the
Northwest Reduced Pressure Area.
System Development Fund
The Board directed staff to reserve $1,400,000 from the System
Development Fund to the Master Plan V Reserves.
Award of Job
The Board awarded a contract for Inspection Services for the Painting of
Facility 1 Basin No.’s 1, 2, 3 & 4, to Larkin Group, Inc. in the amount
of $76,800.00.
Change OrderThe Board approved a change
order to Project 270 and 271A in the amount of $659,847.24 with CAS
Construction, Inc.
Amendment to Services
The Board approved an amendment to the Black & Veatch Engineering
Services Agreement for Three Year Capital Improvements Program and
General Engineering Services for additional services which will increase
the total combined billing limit by $397,000.
